80% Zweigelt, 20% St Laurent.
The grapes are from the grasslands plateau that runs from the lake north east to the Hungarian border, Prädium & Hutweide vineyards
Grapes are destemmed and macerated for 8 days. Elevage occurs in tank and a portion of the Zweigelt held in large acacia, 16 months on gross lees.
Unfined, unfiltered, minimal sulfur at bottling .
Notes from importer Liz Carey:
Dried herbs, blue fruited, amaro swirls and violets. From the minute it hits the glass it opens beautifully, the herbs subsiding and the fruit becoming more vibrant. Wonderful freshness,
crunchy fruit, balanced acidity and great length, there’s a real fluidity to it also.
Could be slightly chilled but certainly does not need it
