The 'Jumpin’ Juice' label is the side project of local winemaker Patrick Sullivan. The Jumpin’ Juice label is fruit that he has bought from local organic farmers, some of whom he has been working with for many years and who have converted to organic viticulture just for him. The wines are meant to be fun, a little frivolous, accessible and enjoyable, a counterpoint to the much more serious 'Estate' range. The fruit is from the Bull Swamp vineyard in Ellinbank, Gippsland. These vineyards are 30-40 years old, dry grown on red volcanic soils. The grapes are whole bunches direct pressed to stainless tank and fermented to dry using indigenous yeasts and then goes through malolactic fermentation. The wine is settled out over winter, gently racked and lightly filtered with minimal SO2 added.
This wine has a light crisp aroma of green fruit, ripe stone fruit and some light salinity. The palate is savoury and dry with subtle notes of exotic fruit and light acid.
