Notes from Gareth;
Organically farmed Riesling from 13 year old dry grown vines, planted in quartz and schist, over clay and limestone.
The name from this wine comes from the fact that the site sits in the clouds each morning over the harvest period. Grapes were handpicked and hand sorted in the cool morning of April 4th, destemmed and left on skins for 12 hours before being pressed, settled overnight and racked into two 500L neutral French oak puncheons. A long slow primary ferment, full malolactic fermentation and a generous settling period has produced a bone dry, textural and extremely powerful Riesling.
A textural Riesling, opulent and rich, with beautifully fragrant white flowers on the nose, green fruits and lime acid on the palate.
