Domaine de Bel-Air, owned and operated by Jean-Marc Lafont. This Beaujolais-Villages is from a vineyard surrounding the Domaine on the hill of Bel-Air and a vineyard in the village of Quincié. The vines are on average 50 years old and add to the vavavoom factor of the wine! The estate has a history dating back 180 years but it wasnt until 1986 that Jean-Marc Lafont and his wife Annick took over the estate and pursued organic agriculture.
The Beaujolais-Villages “Granits Bleus” shows flavours of raspberries, blackcurrant and black tea with freshly blossomed violet on the nose, a generous and savoury fruit-driven mouthfeel with delicious chalky tannins.
