Pacina is a legendary estate in the hills outside Siena, Tuscany. Part of the Chianti zone, and originally established in the 10th century (!) Pacina is a mixed farm growing grapes, olives, cereals, legumes and fruit and veg. The same family has cultivated this land for 5 generations with a sensitivity to nature and gentle organic farming.
La Cerretina is the only white wine the winery makes. 50% Trebbiano Toscano and 50%. Malvasia del Chianti. Macerated in concrete, on the skins for 6 days, then aged in a a mix of oak and acacia barrels for 14 moths. No S02 added. It has an imposing and fragrant nose, dried fruit, ‘georgian wine’ scents, Grippy and chalky. Savoury and layered . Oriental spices.
