A blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from Francois Blanchard's Le Grande Clere vineyard in the Loire Valley an hour South of the village of Tours.
Dense dark fruits on the nose and a hint of lemon rind. Theres a good sense of barnyard hay and smoked leaves on the palate which mingle amongst the silky fruit profile. Definitely a food wine, something to enjoy with cured meat and hard cheese, or eggplant, or parfait. The main thing to remember is just enjoy the wine.
