Sauvignon Blanc from a 1ha parcel in Verdigny, grown on clay and limestone (caillottes). The vines average 50 years of age. 50% botrytis. Aged in tank for two years and then in old wood for another year. Never fined or filtered. Zero SO2.

Much more spice and gingerbread cake on the nose than fruit. Some saltiness. Smells like an old school viking's wine. Yum. Crazy taste. Big flavours, very unique. Texture and length lingers. Medium acidity and trickling minerality. This is more baking that fruit. Very hard to do notes for this wine, it’s intriguing and keeps me guessing. You could sit there all night discussing it and contemplating. A food wine for sure. It's really crazy, you have to try it. And very different to 2010.
