Brilliant, pale gold.
Complex, layered aromatics, with yellow fruit; toasty, ferment-derived tones; and a fascinating musky note. This seems more the expression of an ecosystem – plant, soil, yeast, sun, etc. – than mere fruit.
Surprisingly, after the power and depth of the nose, very pure and bright on the palate, with a light carriage across formidable length. Flavours of lemon curd, fresh buttered toast, even jasmine rice. Compelling, at the moment, for its combination of aromatic intrigue and palate clarity.
