For a grape that can have such power and structure, these wines have tremendous grace and finesse. Red and black fruits, spice, volcanic rocks and sweet balsamic glaze, maybe some violets. Medium bodied, fleshy and fruity, but in that suave kind of minerally way that good Aglianco often is. Plenty of chamois-like tannin, and a bit of new leather, floral and savoury finish. Good crunchy fun.
