Ludovic Engelvin farms 6 hectares of vines on the historic terroir of an area known as the Languedoc Gardois. Ludovic’s development as a winemaker can be attributed to his time spent working with the late Didier Dagueneau in the Loire Valley before he worked as a sommelier in Provence and finally opened up a wine store outside of the town of Nîmes. His first commercial release as a winemaker was in 2013. He is still in the very early stages of his career but his wines are a testament to his skill and passion.
The nose is bright with a slight forest floor aroma and some leather and spice. On the palate, more tertiary flavours than primary fruits. A woody and earthy note, light blackberry flavour and chewy tannins. Pair with a hearty protein dish.
