The small town of Oggau which is located in the Burgenland province of Austria is a wine growing village famous for its quality. Its traditions date back to the ancient Romans who first produced red wine in Austria. The Oggau vineyard has a long history and is now run by Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe-Eselböck.
They have used their extensive knowledge as vintners to guide to operations in the vineyard in an entirely new direction. Certified Biodynamic under the Demeter Association, they understand the significance of Biodynamic cultivation and implement this philosophy systematically in their vineyard with a focus on the essential.
The strength of the vines are used to the full and the wines are left in the cellars to attain their utmost potential in peace. The result is a selection of wines which display the characteristics of the region and offer the best quality from biodynamic viniculture.
Joschuari is 100% Blaufränkisch which is noted to typically have higher acidity, good colour and silky tannins.
