Certified organic. From two plots - one in Champigny, and the other in Le Puy-Notre-Dame. Both sites are clay and limestone. The wine was vinified, then left in 400L and 500L barrels for 20 months. Zero SO2.
From importer Ryan Larkin:
"Very pure and fresh and clean. Icy frosty, nice lemon, apple, schist on the nose. The palate is lightly textured, but so pristine. It has great acidity, but not too intense or piercing. I just love how frosty and pristine this is. Pure quality. Crisp green apples, nashis, and a hint of almond. How good is schist and tension!! Day 3: so pure and clean, the balance of the texture is so good, and the wine is softer with much higher acidity, that is gently interwoven into the wine. The minerality is also more pronounced. Seems like the wine has relaxed and exposed itself in it’s full glory. Tiny bit of nougat on nose but works perfectly. Really good balance, that minerality really comes through on the finish on the tip of your tongue. Yum, what a Chenin!"
