Benoit Camus tends to a modest 5 hectares of vines in the far-South of Beaujolais. Gamay grown on terroir that is heavily influenced by limestone which makes the wines decidedly fresh and unique.
Direct pressed Gamay fermented in concrete tanks. The wines are bottled and disgorged to order which means they are spending upwards of 7 years on lees! Off-dry with abundant limestone minerality. The aroma of fresh strawberries comes in waves, partitioned by hints of grapefruit citrus. The palate is generous and the textural finish completes this exciting and very individual wine.
