Notes from importer GDM Fun Wines:
From a single vineyard of 0.5 hectares at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level on clay soils in surface with marl in the subsoil, 40 years old vines. South facing towards the Adriatic Sea with the Apennine chain to the west. The grapes have a little berry full of acidity and thick skin. The predominant grape is a Trebbiano D’Abruzzo with a mix of Sbagarina, a vine that disappeared after the invasion of international vines planted in the 1990s by the cooperatives. Free-run juice without pressing, fermentation for about a month in steel tanks, and follow aging in steel over 6 months. A wine with lots of tension, nerve, and mineral component.
