Oh boy, so happy to have this wine back in stock! From one of France's best kept secrets, Bugey.
"A geographical crossroads between Savoie, the Jura, Burgundy, and the Rhône, this small region encompasses the mountainous eastern half of the Ain département. Situated between Lyon and Geneva, it is not considered a part of Savoie or the Jura, administratively or as a wine region. It is really its own little enclave, home to steep calcareous mountainsides butting up against the western edge of the Alps, and subject to Alpine, continental, and Mediterranean influences to climate." - Kermit Lynch
One of the greatest drinks on the planet and it's only 8% so you can drink it all day and night! A wine that is super versatile and when I worked in restaurants I had great fun matching with different dishes. Perfect with spice as the sugar helps tame heat. Amazing with fruit based desserts especially things that have a berry fruit element. Can handle duck and killer with soft cheeses.
The most attractive pink in colour. Super pure, bright and lifted on the nose. It's all about red fruits. Raspberry, red currants, rhubarb, cranberries and strawberry. The palate hits with some sugar, but comes in with acid, leaving the palate feeling invigorated. Understandable why they drink this as an aperitif! Such a pleasure to drink. - Sebastian Crowther MS
