In the 19th century, Petrera Nicola built his home on the hill named ‘Spinomarino.’ He chose this place for it’s lofty, well-aired and sunny position to mainly grow Primitivo. The land was cleared and adequate infrastructure was developed. In the new generation, Pasquale Petrera led the estate’s march towards organic certification and ensures the wines are made in a minimal intervention style, mainly using stainless steel for fermentation to highlight the purity of fruit. In the cellar, classical music is played to the barrels to help the barrels settle.
Borderline rosato-light red wine. Cherries, strawberries and a slight spritz on the tongue. Light texture.
