Jerome Lambert is one of the Loire's true wild men, farming just a couple of hectares of vines around the village of Rablay-sur-Layon. His vineyards are planted over schist, lending the wines a linear profile and a distinctly mineral character. The absence of oak in his cellar merely supports this. This wine is a Grolleau of immense depth and class, fine tannins, earthy notes of game and small red berries. Medium bodied, juicy and lush.
