Gary Mills is the winemaker who has spent years doing vintages in Oregon, California and various Australian winemaking regions. Lemon Haze falls into the “park” category of his wines with a focus on drinkability and fun.
Here we have a blend of barrel fermented Chardonnay and Riesling that was originally meant to be made into a Pétillant-naturel wine. In it’s current form, it has a slightly reductive aroma, meaning it can smell slightly vegetal. This does not carry over to the palate which shows bright acidity, lemon candy and a slight prickle of effervescence. Serving suggestion: in the park with mates.
