100% Pais, granite, grown by Soledad Camaaño. 200+ yr old vines. A combination of an eastern (Andes) and a western (Pacific Ocean) facing sites. The ocean-facing slope is slower to degrade and is characterised by more sand and larger quartz deposits, more linear fruit. The east facing slope more red clays, giving plumper red fruits.
Savoury front palate leading into blackberry, olive and black currant notes. Bright acidity balances against the weight of the wine and it finishes with very subtle fine tannins.
