2015 Fatalone Teres Rosato
In the 19th century, Petrera Nicola built his home on the hill named ‘Spinomarino.’ He chose this place for it’s lofty, well-aired and sunny position to mainly grow Primitivo. The land was cleared and adequate infrastructure was developed. In the new generation, Pasquale Petrera led the estate’s march towards organic certification and ensures the wines are made in a minimal intervention style, mainly using stainless steel for fermentation to highlight the purity of fruit. In the cellar, classical music is played to the barrels to help the barrels settle.
Borderline rosato-light red wine. Cherries, strawberries and a slight spritz on the tongue. Light texture.
2020 Das Juice Red
Our juicy light red is perfect with a chill. The 2020 harvest is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Merlot (50%) from the organic Zirella vineyard in Tatachilla and Pinot Noir (20%) from Peters Creek. All grapes were hand picked and whole bunch carbonic macerated for 8 days before were pressed to tank for a slow natural ferment.
2019 Berthier L'Instant
For several generations, the Berthier family has farmed their vineyards in central Loire Valley.
In 1998 the Estate grew with the takeover of the Domaine de Montbenoit in the Coteaux du Giennois, inherited from Jean Marie’s grandfather’s vineyard. Clément, a former cellar master in the USA, is now devoted to winemaking and marketing. Florian, with his experiences in Burgundy and New Zealand, manages the vineyard. The vines grow on clay-limestone soil, grapes are hand-harvested then delicately pressed.
The bouquet is lush and seductive, blackcurrants, cherries n berries, and lovely earthy tones. The palate coats the mouth with delicious mixed berries and silky, polished tannins. This wine would look extra-smart laying down for a year or two.
